About Me

Under my bed are dozens of composition books, full of my nine year old judgments and dreams. I never let the habit go, and continue to write regularly. I have seen the meme quoting Richard Bach, "A professional writer, is an amateur who never quit."

I went to school to teach children how to write. I earned a Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Education in 2010. I taught for a short while, before my children were born. Now I raise them and write (mostly blogs and posts) on the side. My hopes are that my example teaches them about the priorities and passions that make life precious and exciting.

God's help and leading into writing and self publishing has brought me to a handful of public speaking experiences, podcasts, and a local television interview. Because I learned amazon publishing, I was able to create a fundraising book for a local addiction rehab center. The marketing that is required for book sales got me into simple drag and drop design, and I was able to create a home site for a grassroots ministry in Pakistan that ministers to slave children, distant dark magic tribes (for real), orphan children, and basic aids, including preaching, feeding, and providing bibles. If you are interested in supporting these ministries, shoot me an email, please!

Mostly these days, I read the books I wrote for my kids to my kids.

In the walls of my home, I make silly freestyle songs on the fly; a talent particularly handy for children's book writing. Not having been blessed with illustrative talent, I filled my stories with picture collages of photos and natural materials of my country home. Most of the materials in these books are a unique mother-son collaboration, which my young fans are instinctively drawn too, while parents feel a pleasant nudge of nostalgia. My hope is to fill my life with meaningful, beautiful stories and art, paving a path of love and southern graces for my family to linger on.

I garden a lot and hope to build up my own backyard nursery and chicken coop. I read bits everyday about Biblical topics and ancient Jewish history. I'm pretty much a passionate tumble weed who loves so many things and just follows the breeze. Which is funny that I write  that, noticing now, since "wind" is often how the Holy Spirit is described. Yes, I work to follow the Holy Spirit through every season, project, and relationship. ------>

I am excited to see God's plan for, "The Complainer's Journal. God willing, I will continue to write about subjects that are focused on grace, forgiveness, love, and our Saviour Jesus Christ. I am grateful that God has guided my love of writing into a ministry that reaches you.

Here is what God says ABOUT ME and ABOUT YOU:

"...if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3:26 (NASB)

About Me

I live in rural Georgia (between two cow pastures and a cotton field) , where I raise my two sons, write, cook, garden, and create and care over things in general. Then I drink a lot hot teas and coffee on the porch and look at the water and think of things I should write and usually never get around to...

In 2010, I got an education degree from AASU in Savannah. A few years later I had my son, and choose to stay home with him after a (very) short career teaching.

Time spent with my son and I weaving stories on our country porch evolved into a published book made by us. That led to a few more titles for children about faith and family life.

In 2016 (ish), I began to get honest about why I felt so crummy in general.  Some rough soul scouring was the catalyst for some intense change of heart. Those insights led me to write the The Complainer's Journal and Workbook.

Today I have plans to garden (a lot - that pic is me fighting green hoses as I dream up a plant nursery in my backyard), as i teach English online, continue to blog, and learn about what makes a family peaceful, supportive, and God honoring all around.
